Dr. Stone plot
Dr. Stone is anime series adapted from a manga with the same title released in 2017. The manga just recently concluded after five grueling years. The plot features around a blinding flash of light which frightens the whole of humanity one day. Many years later, the main protagonist, who is a high school student named Taiju, finds himself lost in the now unknown world surrounded by statues all around him.
Taiju has his science-loving friend named Senku beside him and the two work for months, trying to figure out how to restart the human civilization. The two do this with the help of science. The plot features the story of a world turned into stone, and slowly gearing back up with the help of science.
Dr. Stone Season 2 recap and spoilers
The main plot of Dr. Stone season 2 features the war between the Kingdom of Science and the Empire of Might. Tsukasa was able to revive many strong people with the help of his revival fluid. Meanwhile, Senku choses to stick with all the people from Ishigami Village but has to leave behind some of them since they are too old to fight.
The season also featured the storyline of Chrome’s prison break which once again tested the the former magician’s capacity.
The conflict between Senku and Tsukasa is settled by the end of the season and fans get to see the introduction of another important character Mirai, Tsukasa’s sister. The new development showed that Tsukasa was never a bad guy who wanted to do bad things from the start. Tsukasa realizes his wrongdoings by the end of the season and shifts back to focus on the technology he had once tried to use in order to destroy everything.
Despite the anime featuring only eleven episodes in season 2, it successfully covers everything perfectly. With the Stone War era now over, there are still much to explore in the anime. The new season of the anime will now focus on the Age of Exploration era.
