Dr. Renu Raj became the sub-collector of Devikulam, which is a scenic area and well known for its tourist activities and illegal construction. Dr. Renu Raj was born in Kottya to MK Rajakumaran Nair and Latha VN with her mother a Malayam Literature teacher. Raj was quite good at academics since her school days. In her 10th grade, she was listed in the list of top 10 students and the same happened in her class 12th result. For further studies, she pursued MBBS, and she got admitted to the medical government college of Kottayam.
Later she joined her work in a government hospital only and she did her preparation for the civil services. Renu stated that her family members supported her in each and every decision she took for her career.
