Dr P Rema, the wife of famous Malayalam actor Jagadish, died on Friday morning in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, following a long battle with a rare neurological ailment. At the time of her death, she was 61 years old.
According to Jagadish,
“Rema has been unwell for some time now and passed away peacefully.”
Her funeral is scheduled for April 1st at 4 p.m. at Thycaud Shanthi Kavadam, according to sources. Rema is survived by her two kids, Ramya and Soumya, as well as her husband.
Jagadish has appeared in movies such as The Priest, Godfather, Mutharamkunnu P.O, Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu, Butterflies, Minnaminunginum Minnukettu, and Jackpot.
He is a scriptwriter, television host, cinematographer, and former politician in addition to being an actor. He has appeared in over 375 Malayalam and two Hindi films. He is well recognised for his comedic roles.
Jagadish has returned to television recently as the host of a popular quiz programme. Marathakam and Thattukada Muthal Semitheri Vare will be his upcoming films.

She was born in Kerala in 1961. She completed her education at Kerala’s public high schools.
Dr P Rema is survived by her actor-husband Jagadish, as well as her two children: Dr Remya Jagadish, a professor at Nagercoil Medical College in Tamil Nadu, and Dr Soumya Jagadish, a psychiatrist. Rema’s sons-in-law are Dr Narendran Nayyar IPS and Dr Praveen Panicker.

Cause Of Her Death
Rema had been bedridden for almost a year and had been suffering from Parkinson’s disease for the past six years. According to the Manorama website, actor Edavela Babu has revealed that she has Parkinson’s illness.
