The first 12 teams to receive a direct invite to the Group Stage of TI11 have been confirmed as of the Arlington Major’s conclusion on August 14. The last chance qualifiers and regional qualifiers, which are planned for September and October, respectively, will determine the final teams who will be a part of the tournament.

Except for the Regional Qualifiers in September, International 11 will consist of four distinct stages. Twelve invited teams from the regional qualifiers will compete in a last-chance qualifier, from which only two teams will advance to the championship group stage. After the Regional Qualifiers conclude on September 17, the Last Chance Qualifiers will take place from October 8 to 12.

The International 11’s group stage will start on October 15 with 20 teams competing for 16 positions in the playoffs. The main action, though, will take place in the championship game, where the top four teams will compete to win the Aegis of Champions.

The final 16 teams will play on the main stage in front of an audience when the group round is over. The Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Center will host the playoffs.

The finals, which will take place on October 29 and 30, will, nevertheless, be hosted at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The Battle Pass sales for Dota 2 are always used to calculate the prize fund for The International. The prize pool has already increased to almost $11 million within a week of the Battle Pass for TI11’s release because it came out later than normal.

However, given the track record of TI’s prize pools, it doesn’t appear likely that this year’s total will exceed the $40 million mark set by last year.
