After finishing his studies at Cambridge,  Raab qualified as a solicitor in the UK under Linklaters in early 2000 but left the firm shortly after. At the Linklaters, he worked on project finance, international litigation, and competition law.

In early 2020, when the Department for International Development got merged with the Foreign and the Commonwealth Office, Raab’s posting was retitled as the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs. In early 2021, during a cabinet reshuffle, Raab was shifted to Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of the State for Justice, and Lord Chancellor.

He has resigned from his post as Deputy Prime Minister. Rabb took this decision after an investigation related to formal bullying complaints began. After Rishi Sunak’s entry to Downing Street, the third senior Minister left.
