The former Newcastle United player cited an event involving the World Cup winner’s cordial behavior toward his new colleague. Leonardo Campana, a forward with Inter Miami, was unable to obtain the tickets he required for the Sunday performance. When Lionel Messi offered to help Campana by asking how many tickets he needed, the Ecuadorian midfielder expressed his anguish in the Inter Miami group conversation.
DeAndre revealed, “His English is enough to get by. He talks to everyone. I didn’t know Messi was in the group chat. Campana needed tickets for the event on Sunday. Messi popped in ‘How many do you need?’”
Before joining PSG, Lionel Messi revealed that he had learned English.
When he joined his former squad PSG, the footballer once demonstrated his proficiency in the language. Messi previously admitted that while he knows how to speak English, he lacks the confidence to do so. Moreover, he asserted that he fully understand the language. The athlete admitted in an interview that he had been taking English classes before joining PSG.
However, Antonella Roccuzzo, the World Cup winner’s wife, speaks English well. Fans were shocked to hear Roccuzzo speak it fluently.
Miami is lit up by Lionel Messi’s magnificence.
With an incredible stoppage-time strike, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner made the ideal introduction to life in the United States. Even though Messi did not start the game, Robert Taylor gave Miami the lead on the verge of halftime. But it was clear from the start that it was all about Messi from the chants that resounded around DRV PNK Stadium.
The Argentine played for 35 minutes for the home crowd before quickly taking over as captain. Within 60 seconds of his debut on the Florida turf, he was making an almost immediate impression with a weaving run and snappy interchange. The Argentine created angles that didn’t exist, dribbled around defenders, and provided some much-needed crispness in the final third.
However, Uriel Antuna slashed a goal for Cruz Azul to make it 1-1. Then, Messi had his chance in the 93rd minute. He made the sort of dream debut as he banged on the edge of the box to make it 2-1 for the home side. It was inevitable and he was the point of difference again and this is how it was always supposed to be.
