Danish Kaneria discloses facing communal taunts he faced often from Pakistan teammates, through video, know if he lives in India or Pakistan
Danish Kaneria seems to have posted the video to draw attention to the fact that his Pakistani teammates regularly made racist remarks to him when he was a player.
Does cricketer Danish Kaneria live in India or Pakistan and what is his religion
Danish Kaneria is a Hindu by religion but was born in Pakistan and lives in Karachi.
During his tenure with the Men in Green, Danish Kaneria, a former spinner for Pakistan, has claimed that he was subjected to constant, off-field and on-field racial slurs from teammates. Kaneria was the second Hindu player in Pakistani history.
Kaneria, the nephew of wicketkeeper Anil Dalpat, the first Hindu to represent Pakistan in international cricket, used a video of a 2014 Pakistan-Sri Lanka game to support his claims about religious prejudice. Danish Kaneria hinted in the video clip’s description that he dealt with these kinds of recommendations virtually daily.
Kaneria made his argument by posting a video on X, (formerly known as Twitter). The video showed cricketer Ahmed Shehzad of Pakistan advising Tillakaratne Dilshan of Sri Lanka that converting to Islam would take him “straight to heaven.”
Kaneria posted the clip along with a caption: “Be it the dressing room, the playground, or the dining table, this happened to me every day.” Although Dilshan’s response was inaudible, Shehzad’s retort, “then be ready for the fire,” suggests he didn’t like what was stated.

Kaneria responded to fast bowling icon Waqar Younis’ comment made during India vs. Pakistan’s 2021 T20 World Cup match in another video. He wrote:
Performing Namaz in front of Kafir Hindus was more important than the match. That’s the problem!”
Waqar had stated that it was “very special to him” to watch the Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter conduct Namaz “in front of Hindus.” He then expressed regret for his comments.

The message was sent out the day after India humiliated Pakistan in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Prior to the loss, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka in the most run-chase-worthy 345-run match of the ICC World Cup, which Rizwan scored a century in.
Meanwhile, Babar Azam was mocked by the Ahmedabad crowd after the toss, and when he was making his way back to the pavilion following his dismissal, Mohammad Rizwan was heckled by some of the supporters.
