Do Revenge Release Date, OTT Platform, Director, Producers, Writers
The revenge drama is ready to premiere on Netflix on Friday, September 16th. Do Revenge is directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who earlier directed year 2019 film Someone Great and co-wrote Thor: Love and Thunder.
Robinson has also written the movie, along with Celeste Ballard. Anthony Bregman, Peter Cron and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson are the producers with Joshua Bachove serving as Executive Producer.
Do Revenge was first declared in October 2020, with the working title Strangers. The lead cast was declared in November 2020, with filming beginning in early 2021 and concluding by August in year 2021.
Do Revenge Plotline
Do Revenge film is based on the lives of two high school students, named Drea and Eleanor. Drea is a popular girl at school whose life turns upside down when a topless video of hers, basically intended for her boyfriend Max, gets leaked at local school.
Moreover, Eleanor is a new student who encounters her old bully Carissa at this new school. Rumours also began floating around that Eleanor held Carissa down and tried to kiss her.
Drea and Eleanor then form a new strong friendship and decide to take down each other’s bullies. The official synopsis of the movie reads, “After a clandestine meet-cute, Drea (Alpha, fallen it girl) and Eleanor (beta, new alt girl) team up to go after each other’s tormentors. Do Revenge is a subverted Hitchcock-ian dark comedy featuring the scariest protagonists of all the, teenage girls.”
Do Revenge’s Cast
Riverdale star Camila Mendes has been cast as Drea in the movie. Maya Hawke will star as the outcast, Eleanor. Austin Abrams, well known for starring in HBO’s Euphoria, will play the role of Max, Drea’s mean boyfriend. The movie has an age rating of 15+.
