Matthew Ward aka DJ Mighty Mouse has died at his home in Spain after suffering an aortic aneurysm. Defected Records stated this in an interview. He was just 48 years old.
“We are devastated to confirm that Matthew Ward aka DJ Mighty Mouse, died unfortunately last, Thursday at his home in Spain,” the reports stated.
Matthew Ward died in his sleep from an aortic aneurysm. We lost his enormous presence and great talent. “Our thoughts are with his partner Ellen and his Mum Judy as well as his wider family and many friends and fans.” The reports also stated, DJ Mighty Mouse’s family has asked for privacy during this time.
DJ Mighty Mouse Professional Career
DJ Mighty Mouse gained name and fame in the UK in 2000s with his Disco Circus mix compilation series. The DJ had several features on the BBC Radio 1’s dance shows. DJ Matthew earned further name and fame with the release of Midnight Mouse and has received massive support from the likes of Pete Tong, Jamie Jones, Groove Armada, among others.
Matthew was a host of The Mighty Wonky Disco Show and episodes are available to be aired on Apple Music and SoundCloud. Mighty Mouse released a remix of Ridney and Inya Day’s track titled Like You which is available on the major streaming handles. He had recently performed at the Pleasurehood in London and Wild at The Lofts based in Newcastle.
The producer was set to appear at the Sinister Circus Halloween Party in Newcastle on Saturday that is 29th of October and in Barcelona on Monday that is 31st of October.
