He was born on 21 December 1981 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. His father, Bharat Kumar, is a senior journalist and Rajya Sabha member, whereas his mother, Neena Raut, is a renowned television producer.
Om Raut completed his schooling at Balmohan Vidyamandir, Mumbai. Later, he earned a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from Anchor College of Engineering in Mumbai. Subsequently, he attended Syracuse University, where he did his postgraduate work. Later, he pursued a PhD in the business of cinema.
He is married, and his wife’s name is Preeti Kothari.
He is currently 41 years old.
His career
Om Raut worked as a writer and director for the MTV Network in New York City after completing his studies. After returning to India, he worked as the creative director of DAR Motion Productions before directing “City of Gold and Haunted – 3D.”
