The Catalans won the Copa del Rey, La Liga, and Spanish Super Cup. They also enjoyed a flawless record in their four Clasico encounters against fierce rivals Real Madrid. Wojciech Szczesny and Robert Lewandowski were spotted having a good time.

When Wojciech Szczesny gave his countryman Robert a mocking knockout “punch,” the striker humorously collapsed. Lewandowski was seen demonstrating his playacting abilities while Szczesny obviously avoided touching his teammate.

As is being claimed on social media platforms, the Barcelona goalkeeper did not really punch the striker in the face with the two just fooling around. While the video of the incident during training is real, the claim that the two were involved in a fracas is false.

Barca meanwhile had attempted to extend their lead against Athletic and end the game in style, but in the second half Lewandowski wasted two good chances.

When a Pau Cubarsi deflection headed for his own goal, Inaki Pena’s quick reflexes caused him to tip the ball against the bar in the Barcelona goal.

Dani Olmo gained and then converted a penalty in stoppage time to give the Catalans their third goal as Barcelona won 3-0. De Marcos spoke to the San Mames crowd after the game, and his teammates threw him into the air.

“I just want to thank everyone who has been there on my path,” said the 36-year-old defender, who played 16 seasons at the club.

“Next season I will be in the stands, as just another Athletic fan.”
