Did Man City’s Pep Guardiola really lose half his money and property to wife Cristina Serra in divorce and what is their net worth

Back in 1994, when Pep was playing for Barcelona, Guardiola began dating Serra. Even though Pep continued to manage Manchester City, a Premier League soccer team, in Manchester, Serra moved to Barcelona in 2019.

According to sources, Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, lost almost half of his assets to his wife, Cristina Serra, as he formalized their divorce this week with reports on Twitter/X claiming that Pep had to part ways with half his net worth and properties including his house in Manchester with him having moved out of his 8.5 million pound property. However, this hasn’t been officially confirmed by either party. While Pep’s net worth stands at $125 million, his ex-wife Serra is worth $40 million.

According to sources, Serra decided to dissolve their ten-year union when Guardiola’s Manchester City contract was renewed which resulted in the couple splitting. Guardiola is reportedly devastated by this split, despite the fact that it has not received much media notice. Serra has repeatedly charged that her now-ex-husband is unduly preoccupied with his career.

The couple spent the previous Christmas season together, but once Pep agreed to a contract extension with Manchester City through 2027, things started to go south. The City boss is believed to opt for a move to United Arab Emirates after his contract at City ends, a prospect that displeased his ex-wife.

El Periodico, a Spanish newspaper, reported that Pep and his wife had been living apart together (LAT), with the 53-year-old living in Manchester and Serra in Barcelona.

Serra allegedly also stated that one of the reasons for the divorce was that Pep spends less time with his family since he is so focused on football. According to reports, the former coach of Barcelona and Bayern Munich sobbed as he left the court, distraught during the divorce proceedings.

Guardiola is going through one of the most difficult times in his managerial career, thus this news comes at a difficult moment.

This season, his City team has been struggling, and it looks like the problems are far from over. The Premier League winners are also dealing with legal troubles; the FA is anticipated to make an announcement shortly regarding a decision pertaining to the club’s 115 charges.
