However, against Liverpool, United was forced into far too many errors. They gave up two goals right after the restart and a third just a few minutes later. The host team took full advantage of the Red Devils’ defeated appearance and lack of inspiration. Liverpool scored four more goals to bring the total to seven, humiliating United in the process.

There was radio silence from the Red Devils’ camp after the loss. Other than Ten Hag’s reflections following the game, none of the other players offered their opinions. That is until United’s all-star Marcus Rashford tweeted a letter of consolation to the supporters. He discussed the embarrassing outcome and urged the supporters to “trust the process.”
An apology from the forward is not at all unusual given the difficulties the Red Devils have faced recently. Rashford has written a lot of these so-called “essays” in a bid to reach out to the unhappy supporters.
While the majority were accepted or dismissed as justifications, this one seemed to catch the attention of the audience, and soon a theory about the letter’s beginnings was developed. Although it’s unclear what started this, online users claimed that England International used the well-known chatbot ChatGPT to create the message.

It goes without saying that writing an apology letter for the application would be simple work, which is exactly what Rashford’s followers appeared to advise after discovering his post. A number of screenshots allegedly taken by the chatbot with the same outcome as Rashford’s precise tweet appeared underneath his replies. These photographs had various inputs, but the outcome remained the same.
We decided to experiment with the inputs for ourselves out of curiosity, but ultimately we weren’t able to produce the same result. Of course, it’s possible that more inputs were used to create the statement as well, but it’s highly unlikely.
Conclusion: Although it’s simple to understand why fans initially ran with this approach, it’s almost certain that the ChatGPT screenshots were altered. Rashford’s tweet was so achingly impersonal that it could have been generated by a machine.
It doesn’t address the game at all, and the sentiment just seems forced. It also doesn’t help that buzzwords like “trust the process” are used. However, all indications suggest that the paragraph is composed entirely of the Englishman’s words, even though we aren’t certain that this is the better outcome.
