Social media platform X/Twitter is currently buzzing with a fake comment attributed to Hunter’s girlfriend, Leanna Lenee, that allegedly shows her swooning over Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards.

Leanna, who has yet again found herself at the center of online drama, is facing the backlash due to a post from the parody X account, NBA Centel.

Known for its trolling and fake news, Centel shared a doctored image showing Lenee leaving lovestruck and cash-related emojis on one of Edwards’ posts, captioned, “Travis Hunter’s fiancée commenting on Anthony Edwards’ IG post.”

Social Media User’s Reaction

As aforesaid , while many recognized the post as satire, some fell for it, sparking a wave of reactions.

One such user joked, “The whole internet throwing Travis Hunter an intervention.” Another one added, “This is actually real, isn’t it?” A third one joined in, “Leave him alone, gold digger!”

A fourth one, who seemed to understood it’s a parody post, penned, “People gonna publish articles before realizing it’s Centel.” A fifth one remarked “Can’t wait for people to start writing think pieces off this Centel tweet.”

What Did Leanna Lenee Say?

Amid the controversy, Leanna Lenee came forward via her TikTok and addressed the backlash in a now-viral video. In her video, the online personality revealed an unexpected detail about her relationship with Hunter.

In addition, she also revealed that initially, she took two months to respond to Hunter’s direct message, leading to accusations of gold-digging after their relationship became public.

Lenee insisted she had Hunter’s approval to share the video, surprising some fans as she also mentioned Hunter had cheated in the past.

Lenee clarified another viral moment, explaining that her apparent frustration during Colorado’s last game was due to security preventing her from accessing the field, not anger directed at Hunter.

The couple’s relationship dates back to high school, with the pair starting as friends before officially dating in 2022. They got engaged in February 2024.

Born in London in November 2001, Lenee moved to the U.S. at age 10 and later graduated from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor’s degree in English and business administration. She is of Black, Mexican, and Filipina descent.
