On Monday, November 7, claims started swirling around the Platform when a Twitter user shared a screengrab of a tweet including offensive language and fake news article which is titled, “Elon Musk’s father paid college $125,000 to ignore animal abuse claims.”

Following the tweet posting, within 24 hours, it started receiving much attention as it garnered 77,000 likes and 15,000 re-tweets.

The fake claimed tweet has now gone viral on the platform. The news article, looks like it was made from The Independent, reads that Tesla’s owner has done some indecent acts on a cat during his college days.

However, it just does not stop at this point, as it further goes on to claim that the businessman has paid for an operation which was required before the cat died.

Let us remind you once again, it’s all fake news. As to why we are saying, you can just do a quick Google search, it will reveal you the whole thing is not real.

As for The Independent outlet, no such article has been made by them, as there isn’t any article with the aforementioned headline.

The entire thing was made up just to troll the SpaceX founder. If you search the writer of the article which is said to be Graeme Massie, the search engine will reveal a fake Twitter photo i.e, a photoshopped version of a real article about Musk.

The story was published in early November, titled “Catturd’ Twitter account highlighted by Elon Musk turns on Tesla billionaire.”

Ever since Musk acquired the social media platform in late October, he has been making huge changes in the company.

As of now he has fired hundreds of platform’s employees alongside started altering the rules and features.

As per the new platform boss, those accounts which are engaged in impersonation without clearly stating they are a parody profile will be banned instantly.

He also stated that the platform will no longer give its users a warning before suspending the account. And if they do so, there won’t be any way to regain access.

This news came just a few days after Musk announced that he will allow users to buy the blue tick which gives the verified status to a profile.

As of now, the amount is said to be $7.99 per month for having the blue tick, which means now anybody can get the blue tick. It won’t be reserved for high profile celebrities or individuals.
