The Bangladesh Cricket Board will host the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League 2021 edition. In 2019-20, Dhaka Premier League was postponed on 19th March 2020 after just a round of matches due to the sudden rise of Covid cases in the country.
The T20 World Cup is scheduled later this year so the tournament will be played in 20-overs format instead of 50 overs. This tournament will be very important for the Bangladeshi players to cement their places on the national side.

The tournament will be played in 5 rounds from 31st of Mat to 6th of June. There will be 5-6 matches per day. All the big names like Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza, Liton Das, Afif Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, etc will participate in the tournament.
Dhaka Premier League will be played in a bio-bubble due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Bangladesh Cricket Board will take all the major precautions to get all teams and match officials into a safe bio bubble. BCB said that they’ll ensure that the tournament goes on without any interruptions.

There are three venues for the 2021 edition of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League: Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium and Ground Number 3 and 4 of the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan (BKSP).
