2023 DFL Super Cup final Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig winner, result, score, & goal scorers
In the 2023 DFL Super Cup, the reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich succumbed to 0-3 defeat against RB Leipzig, who clinched their maiden German Super Cup. Notably, the match was hosted at Munich’s Allianz Arena and fans were hyped about the signing of superstar Harry Kane. However, Bayern’s excitement didn’t last long as Dani Olmo scored the opener within five minutes of the start. Towards the end of first-half, Olmo scored another goal to double Leipzig’s advantage.

DFL Super Cup 2023: trophy details & prize money
Since 2010, the victor of the DFL Supercup has been presented with an exquisite trophy that features two arms holding a central chrome ball. Notably, each of the arms is a symbol of one contest and one of the arms refer to the Champion’s Salad Bowl, which is awarded to the Bundesliga champions. Meanwhile, the trophy for the German Cup is displayed on the other, gold-colored appendage.
With it’s height of 53 centimeters and weight of about six kilograms, this award is eye-catching. The trophy, which is insured for €40,000, was designed by Bremen’s Koch & Bergfeld Corpus. Although RB Leipzig will get the opportunity to keep this trophy for one year, they will have to return it before the 2024 DFL Super Cup.
