With their fates now intertwined, viewers can expect to see Hong-jo and Shin-yu grow closer than ever in the upcoming fifth episode. They will try to go against the grain, but it may not go well for them. In the sneak peek, we see Hong-jo trying to evade Shin-yu while getting closer to Jae-kyung. In addition, the preview hints at a nearly kissing scene between Hong-jo and Shin-yu. The episode will also illustrate how Shin-yu’s mind and body are resisting his devotion to her despite his best efforts to accept them.
What Exactly Happened in the Previous Episode
In the fourth episode, Shin-yu finally told Hong-jo that he has feelings for her. The love potion he drank for Jae-kyung, however, proved conclusively to be the cause of his feelings. Shin-yu even shows Hong-jo the surveillance film of his consuming the love potion. Hong-jo is distraught since her love spell didn’t work, and Shin-yu begs her to do whatever it takes to reverse the effects.
Shin-yu’s thoughts may not want to continue being nice to Hong-jo, but the spell’s effects prevent him from breaking free of his love for her. His heart is all aflutter, he tells her. The two go to see the shaman Eun-wol to find out what they can do to break the curse, but she doesn’t give them the answers they’re looking for.
Although the love magic has had an effect on Shin-yu, it remains unclear whether the second spell Hong-jo performed to cure his illness has also been successful. Meanwhile, Shin-yu keeps having weird dreams, and this time he figures out that the person in his dreams is the same as the one on Hong-jo’s wallpaper. Shin-yu realizes that he and Hong-jo have intertwined fates toward the episode’s end after deducing the shaman’s words to Hong-jo regarding reversing the spell.
