Studio Ufotable has confirmed the production of Demon Slayer season 4 following the conclusion of season 3, know its likely release date
Numerous leaks throughout the week have been revealed about season 4 of Demon Slayer, that it is in the works and recording had already begun. But today’s announcement confirmed the claim with no room for doubt.
Demon Slayer season 4 confirmed in announcement, release date, how many episodes, teaser
The studio released a teaser trailer for the Demon Slayer season 4. It contains character visuals and more of Hashiras who will be significant in the coming Hashira Training arc that the fourth season is set to cover. This follows the pattern of how the studio declared the commencement of the earlier seasons.
Demon Slayer season 4 was confirmed after the season 3 finale
Demon Slayer season three episode eleven was about fifty-five minutes long and it aired on Sunday, 18th June. As soon as the episode ended, Ufotable released a trailer for the next arc in the series, Hashira Training Arc. It is unclear yet if Demon Slayer’s fourth season will adapt only to the said arc, but the teaser basically focused on it.
The teaser featured all of Hashiras save for Rengoku Kyojuro. It featured five Hashiras in the solo frames. The teaser began with Giyu Tomioka which was followed by Shinobu Kocho, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and many more. Manga readers will know, these five characters will be featured in the upcoming Hashira Training Arc.
Speculation about Demon Slayer season 4
If Demon Slayer season 4 covers only the Hashira training arc then it is going to take as many episodes as Swordsmith Village arc. This seems likely given that the final arc is the longest in the series.
The Infinity Castle, the sub-arc alone would be a demanding season devoted to it.
While no release date was confirmed for Demon Slayer’s fourth season, an educated guess can be based on the release pattern of the earlier season. Season two was released in the Winter season 2022 and season three was released in the Spring of 2023. Season four can be expected to premiere in the Summer of 2024, likely in July.
