After defeating the demons in the Entertainment District, Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko head to a hidden location to purchase a new sword for him in the third season of Demon Slayer. Many viewers are unhappy with the decision not to include Inosuke and Zenitsu this season.
When Tanjiro finally arrives, though, he meets Genya, who took the Demon Slayer exam with him, and Mitsuri, the Love Hashira, who will both play crucial roles in the arc. Muichiro, the Mist Hashira, also makes an appearance in this volume; the tale has progressed to disclose many of the ways in which he differs from Tanjiro, while also delving into the latter’s backstory.
The fifth Upper Moon, Gyokko, and the fourth Upper Moon, Hantengu, arrive at the Swordsmith Village and wreak havoc, much to the dismay of the villagers. At the time of this writing, the season had shown Muichiro trapped by one of Gyokko’s talents, and the rest of the cast had dealt with Hantengu’s four clones in the original Japanese voice acting.
In order to face the Demon Slayer Corp head-on, Hantengu has fused his four clones into a single entity known as Zohakuten. Fans have had varied reviews of the tale, although many have praised the animation and the combat scenes.
