The highly anticipated Delhi Book Fair and Stationery Fair is back for its 28th edition, and literature enthusiasts can check out all the event details below along with the 2024 date, timings and tickets
The fair will mainly feature books about Indian cultural literature, with special emphasis on the Bhagavad Gita and yoga.

Indian literature has always been a window of the country’s rich cultural heritage and India is globally the second-largest market for English books.
Delhi Book Fair and Stationery Fair
This year’s 28th Delhi Book Fair aims to recognize and highlight the significance of books that are published in India. The Federation of Indian Publishers are the co-organizers of the event and it will also feature the 24th Stationery Fair. According to Hema Maity, who is the general manager of the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO):
Besides promoting books of all genres, the aim is to focus on providing students with educational books and stationery. A lot of school children will be participating in the fair and we have planned painting competitions and other such activities keeping in mind our target audience.”
Meanwhile, the manager of ITPO Sanjay Vashishtha, stated:
Books are the real ambassadors of Indian heritage. So we decided to keep the theme of this annual event as the global influence of Indian books. With the emergence of India as a global superpower, the impact of books cannot be neglected.”
Visitors will get the chance to indulge in books, as well as interact with famous authors, and witness book launches. This year’s fair will also place a special emphasis on books about yoga and the Bhagavad Gita. This is to highlight these aspects of Indian literature as significant elements of Indian culture.
Notably, people across the world read these books globally, and there’s a rise in the interest for such books. There has been an increasing trend in the sale of Indian books, across the world, particularly Latin America. As such, the upcoming fair looks to capitalize on this growing trend.

The upcoming event will that place at the Bharat Mandapam, Hall 12 & 12A, at the Pragati Maidan.
Date and time
The Delhi Book Fair and Stationery Fair will take place from 10 am to 6pm, from August 7 to 11.
Tickets and entry
The entry for the upcoming event will be free of charge, and visitors can enter through (Gate 10).
