Deep Water Story
Vic and Melinda Van Allen are a couple with a daughter who lives in a small town in Little Wesley, Louisiana. Their loveless marriage is together only by an unstable arrangement that she can take as many lovers as she wants unless Melinda abandons her family to avoid divorce turmoil. Will be retained. What is the deal between Vic and Melinda?

There`s no way Tony`s death could be considered an accident and Vic is even caught by Don when he`s trying to poke Tony`s body down into the water with a stick. It was lucky for Vic that a shaken-up Don is driving like a crazy person trying to get away from Vic and crashes off the edge of a ravine swerving to avoid Vic.
Meanwhile, Melinda has found Tony`s wallet in Vic`s snail farm (!). She’d easily be able to show that her husband who has clearly gone full-blown psychopath. However, Melinda decides to burn the evidence she finds and tells Vic that she saw Tony.
Does Vic Get Caught?
Vic’s outright murder looks dangerous, but don’t catch Vic, even if the movie ends with an uncertain note. After Melinda burned Tony’s ID, her universally vocal wife seems to have decided to become an accomplice to her husband’s crime. It is still possible that Don survived his brutal car accident and eventually revealed that he saw Vic in Tony’s body. However, it is unlikely that anyone will be able to survive a shipwreck of this size.
The greatest danger that Vic is caught is the discovery of Tony’s body, which can be disastrous for his husband. Given that one of Melinda’s lovers (Charlie) has already been found dead, the other dead of her “friends” will cast unavoidable suspicions on her husband. The ending of this movie is reminiscent of Gone Girl, and Affleck also plays a man suspected of murdering his wife. In this case, his wife (played by Rosamund Pike) is a bigger psycho, and by the end of the movie, the two are stuck. It’s interesting to note that Gone Girl writer Gillian Flynn counts Deep Water in her favorite books, so this movie version seems to share DNA with her work.
Final Verdict Deep Water: Watch or Skip?
The movie was dope. Dom and sub-story, pretty simple but clever. Ben Affleck makes his frustrated intellectuals very good with a violent subliminal effect. Ana de Armas was absolutely killed. We firmly believe that any movie will be played after seeing this. It’s fun to see Tracy Letts as someone to write, rather than tinker with. Lil Rel makes me laugh.
And it’s great to see Adrian Lind doing something in the last decade. Suitable for Saturday afternoon matinee. A waste of such talent. Co-dependent fanatics must be jealous of each other enough to fuel their desperate and bizarre intermittent desires. There is no background to build a story, and there is no unexpected “revelation” or solution to make a shallow storytelling marathon worth the time.
And they can draw a fairly ordinary prepubertal child into the sick world in a pathetic tub scene, including the underwater camera perspective of the daughter in the tub and the father next to the tub-essentially. Leads to his murderous tendency to strange father-the power of the daughter’s bond. Ironically, BA is excellent and may take advantage of a very interesting display of the good and evil layers.
But while it’s likely to be a novel with a deeper and much better ending, there aren’t enough factors to save this boring retelling. The actors played their part, but it was just a terrible story.
