For fans of Dead By Daylight, the new year has been slow.
Chapter 27 won’t be fully available on all platforms for another month, but Tome 14 just came out and is still accessible to everyone. Even though the next episode won’t be available in its entirety until March, everyone with a PC can start playing the DBD PTB right away to enjoy the benefits for two new DBD survivors, Thalita and Renato Lyra.

Thalita Lyra, a new DBD survivor perks
For the DBD Chapter 27 Tools of Torment PTB, Thalita Lyra has received the following benefits:
Cut Loose:
This Perk becomes active following a hasty vault during a chase. Your rushed vaults can be silent for up to 4/5/6 seconds while they are active, and successfully completing one of them within that period resets the timer. This bonus has a 45-second cool-down period.
Friendly rivalry:
This Perk becomes active after you and at least one other Survivor have finished repairing a generator. For 45/60/75 seconds, the repair progress pace is 5% faster for you and the other Survivors who completed repairing the generator alongside you. A single iteration of this Perk’s ability can only be active at any given time for Survivors.
Teamwork: power of two
As soon as another Survivor is healed, you both walk 5% faster for as long as you remain within 12 metres of that Survivor or until one of you loses a Health State, whichever comes first. Collaboration: Power of Two can only activate once every 180, 160, or 140 seconds. One Teamwork: power of Two effects can only have an impact on a survivor at a time.
Renato Lyra, a new DBD survivor
The benefits for recent Dead By Daylight survivor Renato Lyra are listed below:
Background player
Break into a sprint for 6 seconds at 150% of your normal running speed to earn exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds after unhooking another survivor. You cannot utilise this Perk while you are exhausted. Exhausted Survivors are unable to employ other Exhaustion-causing Perks.
Blood Rush:
Once you are one hook away from instant death, this Perk becomes active. Press the Active Ability Button 1 while running and in good health to lose a health state, rapidly recover from exhaustion, and acquire the Broken condition effect for 28/24/20 seconds. After 28/24/20 seconds, you’re automatically restored to health from being harmed. The healing effect will be reversed if you enter the Dying State.
Blood Rush can be turned off by activating it for the remainder of the trial. Exhausted Survivors are unable to employ other Exhaustion-causing Perks. Survivors who are Broken cannot be healed.on
Teamwork: Group Stealth:
You both don’t leave any scratch marks once one Survivor finishes healing you, as long as you are within 12 metres of the Survivor who healed you, or until one of you loses a health status. Collaborative Stealth can only activate once every 180, 160, or 140 seconds. One Teamwork: Collective Stealth effect can only have an impact on one survivor at a time.
The patch notes from BeHaviour Interactive include all of the aforementioned benefits. Additionally, the Skull Merchant, a new killer, has had his abilities made known.

Chapter 27 of “Dead By Daylight”: “Toys of Torment” Release Date
March 7th will see the release of Dead By Daylight Chapter 27: Tools of Torment.
The official DeadByBHVR Twitter account provided this. You can play the PTB right now by following the steps below if you own the game on Steam and are a PC user:
- Open Steam
- Proceed to Library
- Right-click Dead By Daylight and select Properties
- Click Betas
- Open the dropdown menu and select Public Tests
- Restart Steam and open DBD
Following Vittorio in Chapter 26, this is another original killer and survivor for Dead By Daylight. Licensed baddies and good guys are set to appear in episode 28, and there have been earlier rumours that Stranger Things would be returning.
