Daytona 500 purse and prize money 2024

With the biggest purse of any race in the NASCAR schedule, the Daytona 500 is considered the most significant and renowned event.

The whole purse for the 2024 Daytona 500 is $28,035,991, according to Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports. In comparison, the purse in 2023 was $26,934,357, an increase of more than $1 million.

The purse as a whole is much more obvious than the money allotted to the Daytona 500 winner. After Joey Logano won $1.58 million in 2015, NASCAR decided to stop revealing the winner’s reward.

A share of the purse goes to the 36 charter clubs of the Cup Series, according to a 2023 report by Pockrass, who estimated that the champion would likely receive between $1.5 million and $2 million.
