The Davis Cup, a match between national men’s tennis teams, will be played for the 110th time in 2022. The sponsor is Rakuten. The current champion was the Russian Tennis Federation, but in 2022 Belarus and they were disqualified from competing in international events due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

On Tuesday, September 13, the group stage of the 2022 Davis Cup Finals will begin, including matches between 16 nations that will take place in four different locations.
The 16 countries are divided into four groups of four teams each, and each team competes against the other three teams from its own group in a round robin best-of-three match format, which consists of two singles matches and one doubles match.

From September 13 to September 17, matches for the group stage will be played, with Group A taking place in Bologna, Italy; Group B in Valencia, Spain; Group C in Hamburg, Germany; and Group D in Glasgow (Scotland).
Due to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, Russia, the incumbent champion, was initially allowed to play in the group stage but was later suspended. Serbia was named as their replacement, and Canada and Great Britain were given wildcard entry.
The knockout rounds will take place in Malaga, Spain, from November 22 to November 27, with the top two finishers in each group moving on to those competitions.
