David Choe’s family and education
David Choe belongs to a family of Korean immigrants and he was born to Christian parents. David has spent his whole childhood in Koreatown, Los Angeles while he has been spray-painting on streets since he was a kid. He further enrolled himself at the California College of the Arts. He was born to Jimmy and Jane. Choe is 5ft 6in tall and his weight is 71 kg.
Since 2008, he dedicated his works to charity and collaborated with foundations for supporting their local causes, including fundraising for Haiti with Yle Haiti, a well-known foundation run by Wyclef Jean; painting with the children of The LIDE Haiti Foundation; and painting along children of the South Central LA at the APCH.

In early 1996, David self-published a graphic novel titled Slow Jams. Choe claims that he made only 200 copies and gave them away at the Comic-Con.
Later on, in 2007, the CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg commissioned him for painting tamer murals for their office. David hosted an online lifestyle and entertainment podcast in 2013 and it was his career’s beginning. He did it with an adult film star, Asa Akira.
David became well known for his watercolors, which were exhibited in his solo show at the Museo Universitario del Chopo, Mexico City in late 2013.
