According to court documents, a police complaint was made against Darius Anderson, 24, of Fort Bend County, to the Houston Police Department on Friday. As of Monday, it remained unknown whether he had been detained and formally charged. According to court records, Anderson was the subject of an arrest warrant or citation.

What does the complaint say?

The complaint states that shortly after 7:30 a.m., officers were called to the Museum District residence. According to the complaint, a woman told police Anderson forced his way into her house, forcing her to trip and fall into a staircase. She told the Houston police that Anderson chased her through the house and that she grabbed a revolver off a coffee table to keep him from getting access to it. Documents from the court show that she never pointed or fired the weapon.

According to the complaint, she told authorities that Anderson broke the latch on the bathroom door as he threatened to beat her up while she was hiding in there. She claimed Anderson departed after hearing her contact the police. The lawsuit says, she claimed Anderson took “unknown number” of the woman’s shoes as he left the house.

Moreover, the woman admitted to authorities that she and Anderson had been dating “on and off” for a year before splitting up two months prior. Prosecutors requested a $50,000 bond in court filings, citing Anderson’s status as a professional football player and his financial capacity as a flight risk.
