What Exactly Happened in Dandadan Chapter 116
With a single tremendous swing, Kinta destroyed the alien-infested Kaiju robot using the Tokyo tower as a makeshift weapon. But the beast came again, this time with its own weapon, the Sky Tower in its grasp. Kinta, believing his sword to be a “mystic sword,” successfully destroyed Kaiju’s Sky Tower, albeit at the cost of his own blade.
Kinta, as usual, paused for a while to reflect on his abilities. When Vamola remarked on his strength, he became momentarily preoccupied. The two later saw the Kaiju approaching on foot. While the Great Kinta was trying to end things with a whiplash, Kinta charged towards it.
The Kaiju’s massive hands closed around the enclosed cockpit, squeezing Kinta and Vamola inside. The extraterrestrials proclaimed their possession of Earth, comparing its inhabitants to the Sumerians, and warned that more battleships were on their way.
With nowhere to go, Kinta nevertheless fought back, prompting the alien to wonder what he had to lose. Kinta replied that he felt like a cowardly imposter his whole life.
But now that two of the most important things in his life—piloting a gigantic mecha and a stunning girl—were on the line, he couldn’t give up without a fight. After crushing the capsule, the Kaiju realized that the cockpit had merely been a diversion through which Kinta and Vamola had made their way to the monster’s rear.
