Indian Cricket fans got Racially Abused at The Edgbaston by English Fans. The investigation is going on as ECB has assured Indian fans that strict action will be taken against the guilty.

The Indian who reported the incident was fuming with anger as he tweeted his disappointment towards the stewards. He said, “We reported it to the stewards and showed them the culprits at least 10 times but no response, and all we were told is to sit in our seats”. This is not the first time when the chaos has happened inside the cricket stadium between the fans. English fans have been known for their chants to motivate their team but this shameful act has portrayed the wrong image of some of the enthusiastic fans in the stands too.

ECB assures strict action will be taken against the culprit

The English cricket Board has rapidly stepped into the matter and has assured that the culprit will be punished. ECB tweeted on their official Twitter handle “We are very concerned to hear reports of racist abuse at today’s Test match. We are in contact with colleagues at Edgbaston who will investigate. There is no place for racism in cricket”. 

Edgbaston stadium authority posted the code of conduct to sit inside the stadium

The Edgbaston cricket stadium authority has said that they are guilty of what happened yesterday with visiting fans. Zero tolerance against the guilty has been said by the authority. They have provided a link to report any kind of abuse inside the stadium.

The disrespectful behavior of the English fans will be taken seriously and legal action will be taken against them. Though the game went smoothly and the chaos in the stands didn’t affect the match at all.
