Shortly after his electric display against Mumbai Indians on Saturday in the Indian Premier League, Harshal Patel was informed about the devastating news of his sister having passed away. It saw him immediately jet off to be with his family during these arduous times.

Patel’s sister Archita had gone onto breath her last after suffering from a lengthy illness. While the cause of her plight is properly known as of yet, the untimely and unfortunate death has left the family crestfallen with Archita only in her late 20s.
While the entire cricketing fraternity stood in solidarity to throw their weight behind Harshal and offer their prayers and strength to him during these beleaguered times, scores of deranged CSK and MI fans decided the moment was apt to mock the speedster. Twitter was laden to the brim with messages belittling the passing away of Harshal’s sisters, bemusing comments which allude towards their sorry school of thought.
While Harshal is yet to officially issue a statement, speculations are being made of him making a return for RCB’s next showdown in the league against CSK. The 31 year old has been in devastating form this season as well with him snagging wickets at regular intervals for the club based out of Bengaluru.
