The former South African captain, who spent almost ten years with the Chennai Super Kings team, switched to the Royal Challengers Bangalore team for the 2022 season. Even the CSK management was sorry they couldn’t keep him after the huge auction. But in light of recent events, it has come to light that CSK selected Du Plessis for its CSA franchise in exchange for a hefty $350,000.

Liam Livingstone and Jos Buttler are the highest-paid league additions thus far, according to a list provided by ESPNcricinfo. The English all-rounder Moeen Ali, who was selected for $400,000, was selected after the two at a cost of $500,000 each. Du Plessis is still ranked third as of right now.
