Ronaldo’s new deal with Al-Nassr will reportedly go on until 2030 and will involve him serving as an ambassador.

Cristiano Ronaldo To Agree To 7-Year Deal With Al-Nassr

If Cristiano Ronaldo does agree to sign a deal with Al-Nassr, out of the seven years he stays at the club, he will spent only two years as a player. Ronaldo will presumably spend the remaining years serving as an ambassador as Saudi Arabia made a bid to host the 2030 World Cup together with Egypt and Greece.

The 74th FIFA Congress, which will take place in 2024, is scheduled to choose the 2030 host-bid winner. Currently, Lionel Messi, serves as Saudi Arabia’s tourism ambassador.

Besides, the terms of the contract, Ronaldo will reportedly earn a sum of 200 million euros each season. Moreover, this sum will increase once Ronaldo takes up his role as an ambassador.

Ronaldo And Al-Nassr Rumours

Rumors about Ronaldo signing for Al-Nassr initially came around during the World Cup, when he officially left Manchester United. Ever since Ronaldo left Manchester United on November 22, 2022, he has been a free agent.

Although initial reports indicate that the 37-year-old would sign a two-year contract with Al-Nassr, new reports state that the deal will now go on until 2030.

When Portugal won the FIFA World Cup round of 16 against Switzerland, Ronaldo denied talks of any deals with Al-Nassr. Moreover the club also refused to make any comments on the rumours.

Recently, the manager of Al-Nassr Rudi Garcia, recently stated his excitement to work with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. He shared:

“I think that any coach would be delighted to train a great star like Cristiano. I have always thought that the great players are the easiest to manage because they are very intelligent.”

Al-Nassr Set To Release Three Players

Al-Nassr are still in the works to finalize the deal and have held meetings in recent weeks. The club have so far only managed to shape up a contract this week. Moreover, Al-Nassr is set to release three players in order to accommodate the financial expenses that Ronaldo’s presence will incur. Two of those players set to quit are Masharipov and Pitty Martinez.
