The Utd crew is not happy with Ronaldo.
Ten Hag and the Manchester United players were extremely angry by the manner and timing of Ronaldo’s interview. United was not made aware of the interview until they were about to leave London for the airport following their encounter at Craven Cottage on Sunday night.
The journalist asserts that the team’s players and management are really upset with him for insulting them in this way and that they don’t understand why he said those things.
World Cup is the only way for Ronaldo to get into a European club.
Over the summer, several clubs were rumoured to be interested in signing the 37-year-old, but no European teams actually did. Ronaldo’s only realistic alternative was to transfer to Saudi Arabia, which he didn’t want to do.
Given his questionable behaviour this season, his advanced years, and his underwhelming recent performances, Ronaldo may find it more challenging than he expected to convince one of Europe’s top teams to sign him in January. But there’s a fair chance that if he performs admirably while representing Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar, his demand will soar.
It remains to be seen whether a premier European club will be eager to sign the veteran in January, especially in light of his venomous remarks regarding both his present boss and Manchester United as a whole.
