David struck three successive sixes off the first three deliveries of Jason Holder’s penultimate over as MI reached 214 for 4 in 19.3 overs to give skipper Rohit Sharma a birthday present.
David smashed two fours and a total of five sixes in his 45 runs off just 14 balls. He and Varma scored 62 runs for the undefeated fifth wicket to overcome the Royals in just 23 balls.

He was a member of the Australian side that competed in the 2022 T20 World Cup. He has defended many Twenty20 franchise organisations. Before making his international debut for Singapore in July 2019 against India, he competed in 14 T20Is for Australia.
