Tamim Iqbal, a dominant figure in Bangladeshi cricket, is renowned for his aggressive batting and owns the record for the highest score by a Bangladeshi in a T20 World Cup, scoring a historic century in the 2016 edition.
His 128 against England in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy is the best total by a Bangladeshi in major competitions. He holds the record for the most centuries by a Bangladeshi, with over 15,000 runs in international cricket.
Tamim Iqbal’s retirement from T20Is came in 2022, and on 6 July 2023, he announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket.
