Domestic career
In March 2014, at the age of 16, Rinku Singh made his List A debut while playing for Uttar Pradesh Cricket.
After an impressive debut, he maintained his lead in the scoring of the game with a score of 83 runs. For the Uttar Pradesh team, Singh made his debut in a first-class game on November 5, 2016, and he contributed to several successful innings.
In his first seven List A games, Rinku had already scored four fifty-scores, and everyone could tell that he had immense promise.
In the Vijay Hazare Trophy encounter for Uttar Pradesh, Rinku Singh also put on an outstanding performance, destroying Tripura for 91* off just 44 balls.
Rinku’s breakthrough season was the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy, during which he scored 953 runs in ten games at an average of 105.88, including four hundred and three fifty-pluses.
At first, Rinku was known more as a white-ball runner. He scored the third-most runs in total.
The BCCI imposed a three-month suspension on the 22-year-old for playing in foreign competition.
IPL Career
Rinku Singh was chosen by Kings XI Punjab in 2017 for 10 lakh rupees as a result of his exceptional domestic achievements. He wasn’t able to participate in the event, but his talent was certainly acknowledged.
In 2018, Kolkata Knight Riders paid 80 lakh rupees to get him to get ready for the 10th Indian Premier League.
The fact that teams raced to hire the dasher and paid four times his base salary of Rs. 20 lakhs is interesting to note.
