Early years
Patidar was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on June 1, 1993.
He comes from a family of businessmen. When he was eight years old, he joined a cricket club and was later enrolled in an academy by his grandfather. He began his career as a bowler before focusing on batting after completing his U-15 levels.
Career So Far
In the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy, he made his first-class debut on October 30. On January 8, 2018, he made his Twenty20 debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2017–18 Zonal T20 League.
With 713 runs in eight matches, he was Madhya Pradesh’s best run-scorer in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy. He was picked to the India Blue team’s squad for the 2019–20 Duleep Trophy in August 2019.
Patidar was purchased by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL auction in February 2021, ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League.

Patidar Shines Against GT
Rajat Patidar’s offensive knock allowed Virat Kohli to take his time in Saturday’s IPL 2022 encounter between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), according to Aakash Chopra.
After Faf du Plessis was dismissed early, Patidar hit 52 runs off 32 balls and put together a 99-run partnership with Kohli for the second wicket. Kohli, on the other hand, was more cautious at the crease, scoring 58 runs off 53 deliveries.
