Pravin Tambe Story
Pravin Tambe earlier used to work as a liaison officer whenever there were matches at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. He etched his name in the history book by becoming the oldest player to debut and play in the Indian Premier League at the age of 41 for Rajasthan Royals in 2013.
Soon in 2013, Pravin Tambe clinched the ‘Golden Wicket award’ during the Champions League T20 where he grabbed the most wickets in the competition. He took 12 wickets at an average of 6.50 during that league.
During the 2014 IPL season, Tambe scalped up an excellent hat-trick against the twice champion team Kolkata Knight Riders, the first of that season and 12th in total.
In the 2020 season of IPL, he was picked Kolkata Knight Riders and, Tambe became the oldest player to be picked up by any franchise at the IPL 2020 auction. Tambe was signed by the team for Rs 20 Lakh. But unfortunately, he was banned from playing the IPL by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), as according to BCCI he breached the policy of only retired players are able to feature in the overseas leagues.
Tambe has featured in 33 IPL matches and has 28 wickets till now at 30.46. Though he has not played a single game in the T20 league since 2016 he represented the Gujarat Lions.
Tambe later on joined and began playing for Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League, where he became the 1st Indian player to feature in the T20 league. Tambe was part also part of the team TKR which clinched their 4th at the Caribbean Premier League.

A biopic on Pravin Tambe is all set to release to bring in the limelight his struggles and dedication towards the sport.
In the movie, Shreyas Talpade is starred in the movie to play the role of cricketer Pravin Tambe in the movie named “Kaun Pravin Tambe?”. The biopic is all set to be premiered on April 1, 2022, on Disney Plus Hotstar.
