Who is Mukesh Kumar?

Mukesh Kumar is an Indian cricket player. He has been in the news because he is not performing up to the expectations of his team, the Delhi Capitals, and its fans.

He was born on October 12, 1993, in Gopalganj, Bihar, India. Later, he and his family migrated to Kolkata, West Bengal. His father’s name is Kashi Nath Singh, and his mother’s name is Malti Debi.

His career

Mukesh Kumar is a skilled domestic cricketer with a proven track record of success in both IPL franchise cricket and the Bengal side. In October 2015, he started playing first-class cricket. Since then, he has played 34 games, taken 130 wickets, and had an excellent economy rate of 2.71.

In December 2015, he also made his List A debut. Since then, he has played 24 games, taken 26 wickets, and maintained an economy rate of 5.10. Moreover, he has participated in 23 T20 games, collecting 25 wickets at a 7.20 economy rate.

His IPL career is only getting started, as the Delhi Capitals team paid a staggering Rs. 5.5 crores to get him for the 2023 season.
