Bedi, who was born in 1946 in Amritsar, played 67 Test matches for the Indian national cricket team during his illustrious cricketing career. During this time, he demonstrated his extraordinary skill.

He was born on 25 September 1946 in Amritsar, Punjab, India. Bishan was married, and his wife’s name is Anju. The couple was also the parents of two children named Angad and Neha. While not much is known about his daughter Neha, his son Angad is a renowned Bollywood actor.
Bishan Singh Bedi died on 23 October 2023. At the time of his death, he was 77 years old.
His career
Bishan Singh Bedi made a significant impact during his active career from 1967 to 1979. He participated in 67 Test matches and grabbed 266 outstanding wickets. Additionally, Bedi took seven wickets in 10 one-day international games.
He was a crucial player in India’s development of spin bowling and is widely considered one of the best spin bowlers in the country. He played a historic World Cup match in 1975, holding East Africa to only 120 runs.
At the domestic level, Bedi primarily played for the Delhi team. Following his retirement from competitive play, he switched to a coaching and mentoring position, developing young Indian cricket players. Beyond the cricket field, Bedi added his insights as a commentator and pundit to the sport.
