This language was often used by the local people in the third century of Roman Egypt. It is of Afro-Asian origin and was written using the Coptic Alphabet. This ancient language was also once used to be the official language of Egypt. But later, it was replaced by Arabic. The makers of the show have used the same Coptic language in order to give the series a rich historical vibe.
