In the 2024 Copa America, the 16 teams got divided into four pots, each containing four teams for the group-stage draw. Pot 1 comprised four teams pre-selected to head each of the four groups. The competition will start on June 20, 2024, in Atlanta, GA, featuring the opening group-stage match with Argentina, the defending champions. During the group stage, which runs from June 20 to July 2, the top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, while the bottom two teams will exit the tournament.
