Chaturvedi, who opened the innings in pursuit of Mumbai’s first-innings total of 280, remained unbeaten on 404 from 638 deliveries when the match concluded with Karnataka securing the first-innings lead.
Chaturvedi’s exceptional innings surpassed Yuvraj Singh’s previous record for the highest score in a Cooch Behar Trophy final, where Yuvraj had scored 358 against Bihar in 1999. This innings ranks second in the all-time highest scores in the Cooch Behar Trophy, trailing Vijay Zol’s 451 not out for Maharashtra against Assam in 2011.
