Conrad, who was picked in the 5th round of Wyoming in 1972, spent a total of 6 seasons with Cardinals, wherein he earned three consecutive Pro Bowls from 1975 to 77.
As per a report by New York Post, the player has contributed greatly to the New Orleans Saints and Buffalo Bills before retiring in 1981.
Throughout his career as a NFL star, ESPN branded him as the number 1 designation in NFL’s dirties player category pointing that he “punched Mean Joe Greene, he kicked Merlin Olsen in the head, he bit, he gouged, and once, he spit on a downed and injured opponent, the Eagles’ Bill Bradley.”
Later, he accepted his reputation saying in an interview that “I’ll do anything I can get away with to protect my quarterback. I’ve thrived on criticism.”
After retiring from the field, the player went ahead and started appearing in television advertisement. He even starred in a 1987 Miller Lite commercial that dubbed him ‘famous troublemaker.’
