Notably, McGregor hasn’t competed in a boxing event for seven years on the professional level, ever since his loss against Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor recently revealed the news about his fight with Logan Paul. McGregor revealed the news early Tuesday morning through an X post, where he agreed to fight Logan Paul. He posted:
The rumors of a bout with Topurio are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”

As of now, there is no official statement about an agreement between Conor McGregor and Logan Paul. McGregor stated in his tweet that they are still in “preliminary agreements.” The only news about the fight so far comes only from McGregor himself, who has often given false news about fights in the past. Moreover, McGregor would also need to obtain permission from UFC CEO Dana White, as he is under contract with them.
Aside from McGregor, Paul has also previously announced his retirement from boxing in November 2023. While fighters in the past have come back from “retirement,” Paul has still not given any confirmation. Neither Paul nor the Ambani family have given any confirmation.
McGregor has announced on social media that he is in preliminary agreements to face Paul in a boxing exhibition in India with the Ambani’s organising the fight. While the venue isn’t known yet, it will be in India and could be in the BKC aka Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai where Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani lives with his family.
The official date for the boxing match between McGregor and Paul has not yet been announced and neither have the ticket details. However, an official date could be confirmed in early 2025, with the fight likely taking place in the summer or fall of 2025 as promoters often aim to schedule high-profile bouts during peak sporting seasons to maximize viewership and attendance, making a mid-to-late 2025 timeline plausible.

McGregor has so far competed in just one professional boxing bout back in 2017 against boxing champion Mayweather. The former UFC champion lost against him in the 10th round. Aside from this, he has also competed in an exhibition boxing match in 2019 against Michael McGrane in Dublin. The match ended in a draw.
Logan Paul boxing record
Paul has so far competed in two professional boxing matches, with the first match against YouTube rival KSI in 2018. Meanwhile, his second match came against MMA fighter Dillon Danis in England. Paul won the match via a sixth-round disqualification.
