The new Commonwealth Esports Championships started on August 3 and will conclude on August 6 and 7 in Birmingham.

It will take place at the same time as the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Commonwealth events are typically physical sports, but the growing popularity of electronic sports over the last few years has now brought E-Sports in Birmingham, 22. The inaugural event will also feature women’s team.
The CEC new edition will feature three games
• Dota 2
• Rocket League
• E-Football
Teams Participating in CEC, 22
There are 8 teams taking part in the competition across the Commonwealth Nations;
• England
• Republic of South Africa
• Kenya
• Canada
• India
• Jamaica
• Wales
• Australia
Tournament Format
• Group Stage – August 3rd-4th
• The eight teams will be dived into 2 groups
• Top two teams from each group will march to the playoffs
• Playoffs – August 4th – 6th
• Single Elimination match
• All matches will be played as Best of Five both in group stage and playoffs.
Commonwealth Esports Championship 2022, Schedule
CEC Qualification Rounds at CWG, 22 will take place from August 3-5 at Nottingham Trent University. The final will be held on August 6-7 at the International Convention Center in Birmingham.
India has sent two teams to the CEC to take part in Dota 2 and Rocket League. Team India is part of Group B with Canada, England and Wales for the Rocket League Championship. Thus far, both teams have behaved well and are probably aiming for gold.

• Rocket League Open – Third Place – 3:00 pm
• Rocket League Open – Final – 4:00 pm
• E-Football Series Open – Third Place – 5:30 pm
• E-Football Series Open – Final – 6:00 pm

• Dota 2 – Women’s – Third Place – 7:30 pm
• Dota 2 – Women’s – Final – 10:30 pm
Day 2 – Session 1
• Rocket League – Women’s – Third Place – 3:00 pm
• Rocket League – Women’s – Grand Final – 4:00 pm
• E-Football – Women’s – Third Place – 5:30 pm
• E- Football – Women’s – Final – 6:00 pm

• Dota 2 – Open – Third Place – 7:30 pm
• Dota 2 – Open – Final – 10:30
