One of the sports taking place at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, is netball. Since netball’s inclusion in the 1998 Commonwealth Games, there have been seven netball competitions, with the second of those competitions taking place in England. The competition is slated to take place from July 29 through August 7, 2022.

2022 Commonwealth Games – Women’s Netball Teams, Groups, Latest Results, Upcoming Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
With 899 caps between the selected players and 21 Commonwealth Games appearances, England head coach Jess Thirlby has assembled a team that is loaded with experience for their title defense. Serena Guthrie’s retirement from the sport has resulted in Nat Metcalf being named captain, with Jo Harten serving as vice-captain in Birmingham.
For the first time, a country other than New Zealand or Australia won the commonwealth games gold medal in 2018 thanks to England. On the first day of play, the home team will begin defending its title. For the 2022 Commonwealth Games Netball event, twelve nations are divided into two groups of six, with the semifinals taking place on Saturday, August 6, and the championship match on Sunday, August 7.
Coventry Arena was originally slated to host the competition. However, the National Exhibition Centre was chosen due to the sport’s increased popularity as a result of England winning the 2018 event. The arena will also host competitions for the following five sports: badminton, boxing, para powerlifting, table tennis, and weightlifting.
