2022 Commonwealth Games – Women’s Hockey Semi-finals, India vs Australia Preview, Upcoming Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
The semi-final matchup between the Indian women’s hockey team and Australia will be a rerun of the quarter-final in the Tokyo Olympics last year. India, which famously defeated Australia 1-0 to advance to the semifinals, will be inspired to repeat the feat in their quest for a second CWG gold. India’s strikers will need to play at their peak, and players like Sharmila Devi, Navneet Kaur, and Lalremsiani cannot afford to miss out on scoring chances, particularly while playing against a powerful team like Australia.
The Indian defense, which is captained by Savita Punia and includes players like Gurjit Kaur, Udita, and Deep Grace Ekka, will need to be alert in order to stop the quickly moving Australians. Neha Goyal has been a dynamic player in the connection between the attacking line and the midfield, but she will require more assistance.
