Extraordinary results in the pools have left the Australians far ahead of England and New Zealand in the number of medals won to date in Commonwealth Games 2022 medal tally, list
Before the starting of the competition, it was expected by many that Australia will go to dominate the medal tally in the CWG, 22 and that’s what Australia has been doing since the opening day of the competition. After the end of day six, the Aussies stretched its medal tally to a total of 123.

The swimming program at CWG, 22 came to an end yesterday, the Australian swimmers bagged 65 medals overall, including 25 gold, 21 silver and 19 bronze.

In athletics, Evan O’ Hanlon secured gold for Australia in the men’s T37/38m final whereas in the men’s high jump Australia had to settle for the silver medal.
In judo, Australia took its judo medal tally to 10 after winning three bronze in the event on day six.

In hockey, both men’s and women’s team won their respective matches and now Australia’s women’s team is aiming to take Tokyo Olympics revenge against India in the semi-finals. Australia women’s cricket team defeated Pakistan by 44 runs.

In the women’s singles squash, Ginna Kennedy won a historic gold in her Commonwealth Games debut. She defeated Canada’s Holli Naughton to become the first Englishwoman to win a CWG squash singles title.

In women’s 86kg weightlifting, Emily Campbell secured the gold for the hosts after lifting the Games-Record 286kg.
Canada has now moved to the third position of the medal tally with 57 medals followed by New Zealand in fourth with 27 medals.
It was also a great day for India in the competitions as India added five more medals to its tally on day 6.
