In the men’s long jump event, Murali Sreeshankar made history after winning India’s first silver medal at the Commonwealth Games.

In men’s para-powerlifting, Sudhir started the medal count for India in para-sport after winning the gold medal in men’s para-powerlifting.
In boxing, Jaismine Lamboria, Amit Panghal, Sagar Ahalwat and Rohit Tokas assured India of further medals after reaching the semifinals.
In badminton, Pv Sindhu, Lakshya Sen and Kidambi Srikanth also qualified for the 16-round singles.
The weightlifting competition is already over, the weightlifters have scooped India ten medals in CWG, 22.
